This MARADMIN announces the release of reference  (B), which aligns with reference (A), directing a reduction in Common Military Training (CMT) requirements.  2.  Applicability.  This MARADMIN applies to the Total Force.  3.  Mission. Upon release of this MARADMIN, all commands will execute CMT in accordance with changes published in reference (B) in order to CMT redundancy and increase combat lethality. 4.  Execution   4.a. Per reference (B), CMT requirements will shift from annual to  biennial frequency, unless otherwise directed.  This will be  accomplished using the procedures and standards established in  reference (B), ensuring training is aligned with the Corp's focus on  maintaining combat readiness while enhancing operational efficiency. 4.b.  Initial entry level training will continue to provide  foundational CMT to set the baseline for new accessions. This will  ensure we accessions receive a general awareness of the training content. 4.c.  Units will align their training activities with the revised  reference (B).  Commanders will ensure that unit-level training is  structured and tailored to rank-specific needs, enhancing overall  training effectiveness.  5. Tasks  5.a. Service-level content owners of CMT subjects.   5.a.1.  Provide support to initial entry level training locations to  ensure Programs of Instructions (POI) comply with references (A)  through (C), if required.   5.a.2.  No later than 60 days after the release of this MARADMIN,  review training content to ensure leader-led and/or subject matter  expert-led training materials comply with references (A) through (C). 5.a.3.  No later than 60 days after the release of this MARADMIN,  submit training content to TECOM TSD for publication in Marine Corps  Training Information Management System (MCTIMS), Training Resource  module. 5.b.  Initial Entry-Level Schools (Marine Corps Recruit Depot and  The Basic School).   5.b.1.  No later than 60-days from release of this MARADMIN,  implement changes to POI(s), as required.  5.b.2.  No later than 30 September 2026, submit revised POI to TECOM TSD for review and approval. 5.c.  Commanders and Supporting Establishments. 5.c.1. No later than 30-days from release of this MARADMIN, verify  training completion dates align with revisions made to MCTIMS  reporting codes.  5.c.2.  No later than 60-days from release of this MARADMIN, report  any MCTIMS discrepancies, pertaining to reference (B), to TECOM TSD. 6.  Coordinating Instructions  6.a.  Training Frequency.  Service-level core requirements, outlined  in reference (B), Section I, remain unchanged.  Per reference (B),   Section II, all non-core requirements change from annual to biennial  frequency.  Marines who successfully completed non-core requirements  during calendar year 2025 are current until calendar year 2027.   Marines that did not complete non-core requirement during calendar  year 2025 will be due for training in calendar year 2026. 6.b.  Post initial entry.  New accessions after 1 January 2026 will  have met initial CMT requirements.   6.c.  Training Completion Codes. To ensure accurate tracking, distinct completion codes will be used in MCTIMS. Initial entry level training locations will document completion using the designated entry codes,  such as 808 for Recruit Training or RMG for Basic Officer Training.   Units will use the appropriate sustainment training code for each  CMT requirement.  This distinction is critical to differentiate  between CMT foundational and recurring training. 6.d.  Prohibition of Supplemental Material. Commanders may not  supplement provided training materials without prior approval from  DC, T&E or DC, M&RA, which ensures standardization across the force.  Commanders are, however, encouraged to seek assistance from  credentialed subject matter experts (e.g., Equal Opportunity Advisor, Suicide Prevention Program Coordinators) to support leader-led  training, when available. 6.e.  Authoritative Data Source. MCTIMS is the single, authoritative  system for documenting and reporting all training addressed by  reference (B). Unit records must align with the data reflected in  MCTIMS. 6.f.  Waiver Authority. Per reference (B), waiver authority for CMT  requirements resides with the first General Officer in an  individual's chain of command. 7.  Administration and Logistics.
