YOUNG/JUDGE ADVOCATE DIVISION /EMAIL:  [email protected]/TEL: 771-216-4066 OR 703-614-9263//  GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The purpose of this MARADMIN is to provide  guidance for the Fiscal Year 2026 Senior Leader Legal Course (SLLC).  2.  Course Description. The SLLC is a three-day course covering  topics such as: investigations, Article 31(b) rights, non-punitive  measures, nonjudicial punishment, administrative separations,  officer misconduct, government ethics, gifts, fundraising, military  justice, sexual harassment, sexual assault, legal assistance,  overseas legal issues, freedom of expression, political activities,   religious accommodation, grievances/FOIA, civilian personnel law,  and reserve personnel law.    3.  Travel, lodging, and per diem costs will be the responsibility  of individual commands. Virtual courses are free to attend. For  either in-person or virtual offerings, full attendance is required  to receive course completion credit for each course.  4.  Eligibility. While not required training, the SLLC is designed  to prepare command leadership teams for the legal issues they will  likely encounter. The eligible population for this course includes  executive officers, senior enlisted leaders / advisors, and those  commanders not eligible to attend the Commandant’s Combined  Commandership Course (Cornerstone). O-5 and O-6 board-selected  commanders are expected to receive the requisite legal instruction  for their command tours while attending Cornerstone; accordingly,  while they may attend SLLC, they are not the target population for  this course.   5.  Registration requests. Registration requests for this course  must be sent to [email protected] no later than six weeks prior  to the date the course convenes. Email requests must include the  date and location of the course requested in the subject line and  the following student information in the body of the email: Rank,   full name, billet or future billet (if applicable), billet  description (why the Marine needs to attend the course), DOD ID  number, phone number, email address, command, and command location.  Any requests made within six weeks of the course convening date will  not be processed for the requested course date.   6.  Schedule: All virtual courses will align to Eastern Standard  Time. A unit requesting a MTT course will be  responsible for the funding and venue. Cancellations received less than five  business days prior to the class convening date may result in a  no-show report for the command due to lost training opportunities  for other units.
