R 071918Z NOV 25 MARADMIN 536/25 MSGID/GENADMIN/CMC CD WASHINGTON DC// SUBJ/FY2026 55XX MARINE CORPS MUSIC LEADERS SYMPOSIUM CALLING MESSAGE// REF/ MCO 5311.1E TOTAL FORCE STRUCTURE PROCESS DTD 18 NOV 2015// NARR/REF IDENTIFIES 55XX (MUSIC) OCCFLD MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND GUIDANCE.// POC/STANLEY, JAMES M./MGYSGT/SEA/FLEET MARINE MUSIC/HQMC CD TEL:703-614-4308/EMAIL: [email protected]// GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This message announces the convening of the Marine Corps Music Leaders Symposium to be held 26-30 January 2026. 2.  The Marine Corps Music Leaders Symposium is hosted by the Fleet Marine Band Program and 55XX Occupational Field Manager,  Headquarters Marine Corps Communication Directorate (HQMC CD). 3.  Purpose.  The Marine Corps Music Leaders Symposium is the forum for discussing, planning, and informing decisions on Fleet Marine Band Program and 55XX Occupational Field matters between Headquarters Marine Corps, the operating forces, and the supporting establishment.  The symposium strives to increase Fleet Marine Band Program capabilities and readiness in support of Marine Corps operational and institutional missions. 4.  The Marine Corps Music Leaders Symposium will take place at the Pentagon Library and Conference Center, Washington, DC and at Warner Hall, Marine Corps University, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia.  5.  The Marine Corps Music Leaders Symposium will commence Monday, 26 January 2026 and will conclude Friday, 30 January 2026.   6.  To effectively support 55XX Occupational Field related matters, the following commands are requested to send 55XX officers, E8 (or those acting in an E8 billet), and E9 leaders within their commands. 6.A.  U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific. 6.B.  U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve. 6.C.  U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe/Africa 6.D.  I Marine Expeditionary Force. 6.D.1. 1st Marine Division. 6.D.2. 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. 6.E.  II Marine Expeditionary Force. 6.E.1. 2nd Marine Division. 6.E.2. 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. 6.F.  III Marine Expeditionary Force. 6.G.  Marine Corps Installations Command.  6.G.1.  Marine Corps Base Quantico. 6.H.  Marine Corps Training and Education Command. 6.H.1.  Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island / Eastern Recruiting Region. 6.H.2.  Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego / Western Recruiting Region.  6.H.3.  Marine Detachment, Naval School of Music. 6.I.  Marine Corps Recruiting Command. 6.J.  Communication Directorate. 6.K.  Other relevant music-related Occupational Field stakeholders are welcome to attend (5505, 5506, 5507, 5511, 5512). 7.  Fleet Marine Band Program leaders, be prepared to participate in working groups, operational planning teams, professional development, and guided discussions relevant to Fleet Marine Band Program and 55XX Occupational Field management matters. 8.  RSVP no later than 15 Dec 2025 to the POC listed above. 9.  Visit Access Request (VAR) is not required for the symposium.  The Marine Corps Music Leaders Symposium will be conducted at the Unclassified level. 10.  Uniform for the Marine Corps Music Leaders Symposium is the  seasonal service uniform for all participants. 11.  Travel days are 25 January and 31 January 2026 for symposium participants.  Travel expenses including lodging and rental car are funded by the parent command. 12.  Personnel are required to reserve their own billeting.  There are several hotels in the immediate area that are available at the government lodging rate. 13.  Attendees and commands must comply with MCO 4600.40B concerning the Government Travel Charge Card Program. 14.  Transportation and parking.  Transportation is the responsibility of the attendee.  Parking is available at no cost at Marine Corps Base Quantico. 15.  RSVPs and questions related to the Marine Corps Music Leaders Symposium should be sent to the HQMC CD Fleet Marine Band Program POC listed above.  Coordinating instructions and final agenda will be provided to confirmed attendees no later than 5 January 2026. 16.  Release authorized by Col.
