Background. The Deputy Commandant for Programs and Resources  (DC P&R) serves as the principal advisor to the Commandant of  the Marine Corps (CMC) on all financial matters and serves as  CMC’s principal spokesperson on USMC program and budget matters throughout the Department of the Navy (DON) and the Department  of War (DoW). The Marine Corps financial environment is  constantly evolving, driven by new regulations, emerging  technologies, and the ever-changing operational demands of a  modern force. The Financial Management Professional Development  Program is designed to address these dynamic challenges,  providing a critical forum for military and civilian financial managers across the Marine Corps to collaborate, share best  practices, and receive up-to-date training. The Financial  Management Professional Development Program offers a unique  opportunity to foster a deeper understanding of current and  future financial policies, improve efficiency in business  practices, and enhance the overall financial stewardship  within the Marine Corps. By bringing together diverse  perspectives and expertise, this program aims to strengthen  the financial foundation that supports the Marine Corps'  mission readiness, operational responsiveness, and audit  success. 3. Mission. From 26 to 30 January, 2026, DC P&R will host a  Financial Management Professional Development Program in  Arlington, Virginia to address dynamic financial challenges  and to provide a crucial forum for Marine Corps financial  managers to discuss Defense Agencies Initiatives (DAI) related  issues, identify process improvements, collaborate on best  practices, and receive up-to-date training. 4.
