MOORE/MAJ/CMC MMPB-11/-/TEL: DSN 278-3622 EMAIL: [email protected]// POC/CAROLIN CHAVEZ/MSGT/CMC MMPB-11/-/TEL: DSN 278-2765 EMAIL: [email protected]// POC/JEROME VAREEN/MSGT/CMC RAP/-/TEL: DSN 278-9367 EMAIL: [email protected]// GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  To announce the FY25 meritorious promotion allocations for PSR, EAD Recruiters, and SMCR SNCOs to commanding generals and commanding officers. 2.  Background.  These allocations provide commanders the opportunity to nominate a select number of Marines for meritorious promotion to the grades of Gunnery Sergeant (GySgt) and Staff  Sergeant (SSgt). 3.  Commanders listed below will convene selection boards within their commands to nominate Marines for meritorious promotion by the Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC).  Marines already selected for the next grade by a regular promotion board are still eligible for meritorious promotion to that grade if their seniority number has not been reached.  Recommendations require endorsement by the  commander and submission via naval correspondence to Enlisted  Promotions Unit (MMPB-11).  Upon review and approval by CMC,  Manpower Management Division (MM), unit diary entries will be  entered by MMPB-11.  Commanders will then prepare certificates of  appointment.  In accordance with reference (b), selected Marines  must have at least 24 months obligated service remaining on contract from the date of promotion. 4.  Per reference (c) the FY25 meritorious promotion allocations are as follows: Command        SSgt/GySgt            Nominations due    Date of rank Marine Corps Recruiting Command PSR               1/1                   20241202         20250102 EAD               1/1                   20250301         20250402 Marine Forces Reserve  SMCR SNCO         3/1                   20250601         20250702 5.  Submit nominations to [email protected] to include the following: Rank    Name    EDIPI    MCC/Unit    PME Complete    OBS 6.  For questions regarding the distribution and calculation of  reserve allocations, please contact Reserve Affairs Personnel  Policy, Plans, and Programming at (703) 784-9367. 7.  Release authorized by Major General Ryan S.
