DUMANOVSKY/MAJ/MMOA-3/USMC/TEL: 703-784-9284/  EMAIL: [email protected]// GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  This message announces the results of the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Commandant's Professional Intermediate- Level Education Board (CPIB) that convened on 5 August 2025, as part of the FY26 Commandant's Education Board (CEB).  This message includes those selected for the Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC) and civilian fellowships, Command and Staff College (CSC), other sister service professional military education (PME), and Foreign PME (FPME). 1.a.  Background.  The board, composed of five colonels, and sixteen lieutenant colonels, considered the records of the eligible population and selected the officers listed below.  The small number of CPIB assignments available relative to the number of eligible officers makes selection a highly competitive process. 1.b.  Major milestone timeline (read in two columns):       DATE                 MILESTONE       1 January 2026       Marine Corps CSC registration       26 June 2026         Marine Corps CSC end of registration       21 July 2026         Marine Corps CSC report date       May-September 2026   FPME DLI begin dates       July-August 2026     CMC Fellowship orientations (para 3.d.) 2.  Coordinating Instructions 2.a.  This MARADMIN serves as notice of orders for the officers listed in paragraph 3. 2.b.  Declinations.  Only officers whose end of obligated service (EOS) ends prior to the report date to their specific program may decline orders.  Officers eligible to decline this assignment have 10 days from release of this MARADMIN to decline.  Officers who  elect to decline their selection are deemed as resigning in lieu of orders.  Officers who resign in lieu of orders will exit the service NLT the last day of the month they were required to report to their future unit. 2.b.  Deferrals.  Headquarters Marine Corps will not usually accept deferrals.  Officers may request a deferral in writing (AA Form) via the first O-6 in their chain of command to HQMC (MMOA-3) no later than ten days from the release of this MARADMIN. 2.c.  Marines selected for Marine Corps CSC (para 3.b.5.) are required to visit https:(slash)(slash)www.usmcu.edu/Students/ New-Student-Check-In/.  On the website, all selectees will follow the instructions for registration, enrollment, and pre-check-in. Fellowships are not a service equivalent for PME.  Marines participating in a fellowship are required to complete a PME program commensurate with their grade on their own initiative to be considered PME complete for their grade.  Marines selected shall complete PME requirements for their respective ranks, prior to the end of the fellowship.  Failure to complete PME prior to the end of the fellowship will be handled with negative documentation and FITREPs shall annotate the failure to complete directed course work in allotted time period. 5.a.2. Fellowships do not provide JPME 1 credit. 5.b.  Foreign PME.  Foreign PME is a service equivalent for PME but no longer provides JPME 1 credit. 6.  PME Service Obligation 6.a.  Resident Command and Staff Colleges.  IAW ref (b), service schools greater than 20 weeks in duration incur two years of service obligation based upon the date of graduation. 6.b.  Foreign PME.  IAW ref (b), service schools greater than 20 weeks in duration incur two years of service obligation based upon the date of graduation. 6.c.  Fellowships 6.c.1.  IAW ref (b), fellowship recipients will remain on active duty after completion of training, or upon separation of the program for any reason, for a period of three times the length of the  period of education or training. 6.c.2.  Pre-existing service obligations will be suspended during the time assigned to the program. 7.  Communication to Headquarters Marine Corps 7.a.  All correspondence must originate from and be endorsed by the selected officer.
