This message solicits applications for the Marine Corps Departmental Requirements Officer (DRO) billet at Marine Corps Intelligence Activity, serving out of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency in Springfield, Virginia. All nomination packages are due to the Deputy Commandant for Information (DC I) no later than 30 January 2026. Paragraph 5 details the procedures for submission.  2.  Background.  The purpose of the DRO is to manage and analyze geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) collection requirements, liaison all GEOINT matters on behalf of Marine Corps, and provide subject matter expertise to the Marine Expeditionary Forces (MEF), and all subordinate commands with GEOINT requirements. The DRO is the sole advocate for the Marine Corps to satisfy geospatial requirements to meet mission accomplishment.  3.  Execution. Applicants must meet the following criteria:     3.a.  Applicants must possess the Primary MOS (PMOS) 0241, Imagery Analyst, and hold the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6) or Gunnery Sergeant (E-7).   3.b.   Applicants must possess a Top-Secret clearance and be eligible for access to Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI). Application for this program is not sufficient justification to request initial processing of a TS/SCI clearance.  3.c.  Applicants must be willing to submit to a counterintelligence (CI) scoped polygraph examination.  3.d.   Applicants must have two years of GEOINT collections experience.   3.e.   Applicants must have an Active GEOINT Information Management Services (GIMS) account and a proficient utilization of the program architecture.  3.f.  Applicants must have knowledge and experience in Collection Research and Tool Enterprise (CRATE) and GEOINT collection research repositories.  3.g.  Applicants must have knowledge and experience with tools used to research National Technical Means (NTM) and commercial imagery collection requirements.  3.h.  Applicants must meet time on station requirements by 1 February 2026 for CONUS commands. Applicants on a three-year accompanied OCONUS tour must be within 60 days of RTD.  3.i. Applicants must have completed CMC-directed Professional Military Education (PME).  4.  Marine’s selected for this program will incur a three-year service obligation requirement upon selection. Nominees will be required to provide a Page 11 entry to the selection panel stating acknowledgement of the obligated service requirement.  5.  Application package must include:  5.a.  A copy of the Page 11 entry for the obligated service requirement along with a counseling statement from the Marine’s Commanding Officer.  5.b.  Letters of Recommendation. Applicant must provide two letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with their collections experience and professional potential.  5.c.  An unclassified statement of purpose, typed, double spaced, 12pt font, no longer than 8 pages, explaining why you want to be the DRO. Applicant should briefly describe their qualifications, experience, future career plans, and other aspects of their background and interests that may aid the selection panel of DC I in evaluating aptitude and motivation for pursuing the DRO billet.  5.d.  PME. PME must include current non-resident and resident course.  5.e.  Military/Governmental GEOINT training. Training certificates must contain name of the course and year completed.  5.f. Previous Imagery or Geospatial Intelligence duties will be chronologically listed, including three to four lines on what each duty entailed. Information must be unclassified.  5.g.  Favorable material including personal awards and letters of recommendation that pertains/resulted from Geospatial actions while performing GEOINT duties.  6.  All application packages endorsed by the Battalion or Squadron level Commanding Officer, may be submitted electronically by the unit as a portable document format (.pdf) file to the DC I POC: [email protected]. The selection panel will select a primary and secondary applicant.  Selected applicants will be notified via MARADMIN.  9.  The selectee will receive orders to Marine Corps Intelligence Activity, Quantico, VA. (MCC: 077), for duty at National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency 7500 GEOINT Drive Springfield, Virginia 22150.  10.  Direct all questions to MARADMIN POCs.   11.  Release authorized by Lieutenant General M.
