BEDRAN/SGTMAJ/CMC MRA/RA/TEL/COMM 703-784-9100/ DSN 278-9100/EMAIL:  [email protected]// GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The following listed billets are to be read in  four columns: Rank        Command               Location                 NLT Date SGTMAJ      HQTRS, MAG-49         MCGUIRE AFB NJ           APR 2027 SGTMAJ      TH CRR                MARIETTA, GA             APR 2027 SGTMAJ      HQ NECC               VIRGINIA BEACH, VA       APR 2027 SGTMAJ      4TH CIV AFF GROUP     HIALEAH, FL              APR 2027 2.  Applicants for initial assignment at the O-6 level must meet the following criteria: 2.a.  Sergeants Major (SgtsMaj) on their initial assignment at the  O-5 level who will have, at a minimum, 24 months on station by March 2027 as calculated based on their Date Joined Present Unit (DJPU). 2.b.  SgtsMaj on their subsequent O-5 assignment who will have, at a minimum, 12 months on station by March 2027 as calculated based on their DJPU. 2.c.  Applicants must have at least 24 months of available service to obligate, upon the date of assignment, to serve in the billet before exceeding the Enlisted Career Force Controls (ECFC) per reference  (c).  2.d.  Applicants must meet height and weight or Body Composition Program (BCP) standards, have passed a recent Physical Fitness Test and Combat Fitness Test (PFT/CFT) during the previous reporting period, and be current on medical/dental readiness. 2.e.  Applicants must be deployable worldwide. 2.f.  Applicants must possess or be in the process of eligibility determination for a Top Secret security clearance. 2.g.  Applicants must not be approved for retirement or transferred to the retired reserve awaiting pay. 3.  Application process.  Applications must include:  3.a.  NAVMC 10274 (AA Form) addressed to the Director, Reserve Affairs (RA) (Attn: SgtMaj). 3.b.  Current height/weight or BCP verification. 3.c.  Security verification letter. 3.d.  Reserve Qualification Summary (RQS).  All applicants must submit a signed RQS (NAVMC 10476 dated September 2016).  Any other version will be omitted from the package. 3.e.  Photographs.  Per reference (d), official photographs are required for non-promotion selection boards.  3.f.  Package must be endorsed in standard naval letter format via  the immediate chain of command, to include the first O-6 in the chain of command.  A Commanding General endorsement is not required for this slate. 3.g.  SgtsMaj are responsible for ensuring their Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) is accurate and updated.  All OMPF material will be updated through the Official-Records Management Application (O-RMA) located on the Manpower MMPB-2 page by accessing:  https:(slash)(slash)www.manpower.usmc.mil/orma/. 4.  All correspondence, as listed in paragraph 3, must arrive at Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) RA no later than (NLT) 11 April  2026. Each applicant must ensure their package is uploaded as a  single document in portable document format (PDF).  The name of the  submitted file must be in the following format: EDIPI_Rank_LNAME.PDF (e.g., 123456789_SgtMaj_Applicant). Submissions not sent in this format will be deleted.  Applicants will email the entire package to: [email protected] with the following subject line: CY26 SMCR O6 Slate Package ICO SgtMaj Last Name, First Name. 5.  The SgtsMaj selected for the listed billets must be prepared to accept orders NLT the above listed date of assignment.  Upon selection, the selectee will make immediate liaison with the newly slated unit to establish a formal check-in date and conduct a proper  turnover.  The selectee will also begin a reenlistment/extension in order to establish an updated Reserve End of Current Contract (RECC) to establish sufficient time for a full tour.  Tour of duty  assignments to O-6 level command SgtMaj billets range from 24 - 36 months.  An Inter-Unit Transfer (IUT) will be submitted via Requirements, Transition, and Manpower Management System (RTAMMS) to HQMC RA. 6.  Primary selections will be announced via separate MARADMIN following completion of the slate.
