The last fuel study that verified  the current fuel consumption factors for all Marine Corps equipment was conducted over 15 years ago and is listed as Ref (a).  Since  2010, new equipment has been introduced, and older equipment has  been identified as obsolete and divested. 2. Situation. This MARADMIN announces the completion of a  comprehensive fuel study to update fuel consumption factors for the  Marine Corps’ aircraft and ground equipment portfolios.  The focus  was on updating Tables 3-1 and E-1 Fuel-Consuming Items in the  Marine Corps Inventory and Table 3-5 Aircraft Types, Numbers, and  Consumption-Related Data from Ref (a) since those tables have been  used as a primary reference point for all types of fuel planning.  Ref (b) is the GO/SES level review validating the updated fuel  consumption factors.  Data from this study will be distributed  throughout the enterprise and serve as the new baseline for all fuel related planning. 3. Mission. To disseminate updated fuel consumption factors across  the enterprise and used by planners of all types to ensure the  greatest accuracy for tactical and operational level fuel  requirements and planning estimates. 4. Execution. 4.a. Commander's Intent. These new fuel consumption factors will  more accurately inform budgeting and purchasing fuel, wargaming,  Petroleum War Reserve Requirements (PWRR) for operational plans, and sustaining tactical level exercises and contingencies.  Ref (c) and (d) describe how accurate fuel estimations are critical to the  lethality of the MAGTF.  Planners of all types (Logistics, Engineer, Supply, MAGTF etc.) shall immediately adopt these updated  consumption factors for all planning efforts. 4.b. Concept of Operations. The fuel study analyzed real-world usage data to replace outdated legacy planning factors.  The new data set accounts for recent equipment modernization and changes in  operational tempos.  Updated consumption factors for ground assets  and aviation platforms were provided by their respective equipment owners at Marine Corps Systems Command and Deputy Commandant,  Aviation. 4.c. Access to Data. The updated fuel consumption data is hosted on the Deputy Commandant, Installation and Logistics, Logistics Plans  & Policies, Engineer and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Branch (LPE)  Teams page, located at: https:(slash)(slash)usmc.sharepoint-mil.us/s ites/HQMCLPE/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx?id=%2Fsites%2FHQ MCLPE%2FShared%20Documents%2FGeneral%2FLPE%2D3%20Fuels%2FFuel%20Cons umption%20Factor%20Review%20Results%2DMARADMIN&viewid=289b349e%2D477 a%2D4de8%2D8947%2D41a78be45c43&Csf=1&CID=1f595164%2D6a36%2D4dcf%2Dab f7%2Dd3b7970c1a69&FolderCTID=0x012000B95FA362FCC399468167326B2B6D90D 3 and on the Expeditionary Fuels Community Teams page, ADC LP  Channel Files. This data has been integrated into the Marine Corps Total Force Structure Management System via a batch Table of  Organization and Equipment Change Request and can be seen as a Super User in the POL Tab for each Table of Material Control Number.  Additionally, this information is in the process of being uploaded  into Defense Logistics Agency – Energy’s (DLA-E) Integrated  Consumable Item Support- Class III Bulk (IC3B) application which is used to generate PWRR. 5. Administration and Logistics. Direct liaison is authorized  between Major Subordinate Command planners and HQMC program offices for technical clarification on specific equipment information. 6. Command and signal. 6.a. This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Enterprise. 6.b. This message is effective immediately upon release and remains  in effect until superseded by future correspondence. 6.c. Any questions should be directed to the POCs as indicated above. 6.d. Release authorized by Major General Andrew M. Niebel, Assistant  Deputy Commandant for Installations and Logistics.//
