GOZZI/1STLT/CMC (MPE)/-/TEL: COM 703-432-9337/DSN 378/ EMAIL: [email protected]// GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) Connect Professional Conference 2024 will be held from 9 - 11 October 2024 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts, 02210. 2.  SASE Professional is a strategic focus for SASE designed to help organizations close the Asian Leadership Gap.  SASE Professional seeks to increase the business impact of Asian Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) professionals by helping them develop the leadership skills and cultural agility needed to unlock their full leadership potential in the Western workplace.  SASE Professional is a non-federal entity wholly independent of the Marine Corps.  More information can be found on their website at https:(slash)(slash)convention.saseconnect.org. 3.  During the conference, attendees will benefit from candid and insightful discussions with public service leaders and amongst themselves.  Additionally, this event offers mutually beneficial educational opportunities that provide participants and the Service with a greater understanding of how to work with and capitalize on the differences and strengths within our Corps. 4.  Headquarters, United States Marine Corps, Manpower Plans and Policy Division (MP) will sponsor conference registration fees and travel expenses for this event.  MP will fund travel for four days with the travel days being 9 October and 12 October 2024.  Lodging reimbursement is limited to the government rate and travelers must utilize the Integrated Lodging Program as applicable.  Commands may authorize rental cars using unit funds.  Attendees must coordinate with their chain of command for authorization to participate. 5.  Participants require a command endorsement before applying for sponsored attendance from the first commander in the applicant’s  chain of command.  Endorsements must be emailed to the following  email address: [email protected].  The sponsorship  application and command endorsement template can be found on the  following website: https:(slash)(slash)www.manpower.usmc.mil/ wordpress/?active_marine=active-marines-home/manpower-plans-and- policy-mp/opportunity-diversity-inclusion-branch-mpe/marine-corps- outreach-mpe-03.  Individuals who submit a sponsorship application  will receive an email with coordinating instructions, if approved by  MP for attendance, after the application deadline.  Sponsorship  applications must be submitted no later than 1600 (EST), 4 October  2024.  Attendees must have a government travel charge card in their  possession and a DTS profile joined to their respective unit. 6.  Reserve Marines within the selected reserve require approval from the first O-4 commander in their chain of command to be considered for participation.  Reserve commands are required to attach their Marines to their unit while attending the conference using command funding.  MP will fund their registration and all travel expenses during the traveling period of the conference. 7.  Uniform of the day for this event is Service “C” for Marines, Service Khakis for Sailors, and business casual for Civilian  Marines.  For the evening awards ceremony, the uniform will be the Dress Blue/White “B” for Marines, Service Dress Blue for Sailors, and Black tie is preferred for Civilian Marines. 8.  This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force. 9.  Release authorized by Brigadier General David R.
