The purpose of this correspondence is to announce a significant change to the Enlisted Professional Military Education (EPME) continuum. This change is intended to better prepare Staff Noncommissioned Officers (SNCO) for leadership roles and responsibilities. 2. Professional Military Education (PME) remains a key component to the continuous development of enlisted Marines. This correspondence outlines changes to SNCO PME in alignment with the vital principles of lifelong learning as articulated in reference (C). 3. Effective upon publication, PME for Staff Sergeants (SSgt) (Career School, resident or seminar) and for Gunnery Sergeants (GySgt) (Advanced School, resident or seminar) will be consolidated into one school, the “SNCO Leadership School". The SNCO Leadership School will be offered in resident (7 weeks) and seminar (15 weeks) formats as well as a 2 week version for Selected Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR) and Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) Marines. 3.a. A pilot of the SNCO Leadership School Seminar will be offered on or about March 2025 and a pilot of Resident SNCO Leadership School will occur on or about April 2025 at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Camp Lejeune, Camp Pendleton, and Okinawa (on-site) and in the Fort Worth region (on-line). 3.b. The web-based distance learning MarineNet EPME6000 course is a prerequisite to attend the new SNCO Leadership School, regardless of grade. 3.c. The legacy resident Career and Advanced Schools will continue to be offered through February 25. New FY25 academic schedules, times, and locations will be announced via MARADMIN and are also available at https://www.usmcu.edu/CEME/ under “Academic Calendar”. 3.d. The legacy College of Distance Education and Training (CDET) Career and Advanced School Seminars will continue to be offered through June 25. The CDET SNCO Leadership School Seminar will be included in the Academic Year 26 schedules beginning in July 25 and will be announced via MARADMIN. 3.e. SSgts who have completed the legacy Career School (resident or seminar) and have completed the EPME6000 course will be considered PME complete for grade and will not have to complete the SNCO Leadership School. 3.f. GySgts who have completed either the legacy Career or Advanced School (resident or seminar) and have completed the EPME7000 course will be considered PME complete for grade and will not have to complete the SNCO Leadership School. 4.
