BOATENG/GYSGT/RAM-5/TEL: 703-784-9011/EMAIL: [email protected] GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  Reserve Affairs (RA) annually conducts Total Force Integration Staff Training (TFIST) Continuum Courses as Professional Military Education (PME) for Active Reserve (AR) officers and senior enlisted Marines.  The following are the established FY27 dates for Basic TFIST, Advanced TFIST (A-TFIST), Enlisted TFIST (E-TFIST), and Senior TFIST (S-TFIST) Symposium.  All courses will be conducted at Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. 2.  Basic TFIST.  Session 1 Dates: 20-22 October 2026; Session 2 Dates: 23-25 March 2027.  The target audience for Basic TFIST is newly accessed AR officers.  Marines shall attend only one of the two sessions.  RA will provide funding for travel to the course location. Rental vehicles will be unit funded. 2.a.  RA refined the Basic TFIST curriculum in FY25 to orient newly accessed AR officers to their roles and responsibilities as members of the AR Program.  Specifically, this course focuses on the tactical and operational level of reserve integration at the unit or Major Subordinate Command level.  This course also provides Marines the opportunity to discuss contemporary Reserve Component (RC) issues with their peers, conduct practical applications, and prepare for successful tours as reserve integrators within the Total Force Marine Corps.  2.b.  AR officers on their accession tour are required to complete Basic TFIST to be considered for AR career designation. 3.  A-TFIST.  Dates: 11-13 May 2027.  AR officers must have completed Basic TFIST to be eligible to attend A-TFIST.  RA will provide funding for travel to the course location.  Rental vehicles will be unit funded. 3.a.  The purpose of A-TFIST is to further educate field grade AR officers who serve in critical reserve integration billets throughout the Total Force Marine Corps or Department of War. 3.b.  As AR officers progress through their careers, it is necessary to ensure they receive ongoing, relevant training to support Total Force integration roles and responsibilities.  This course consists of instruction and material that enables AR officers to succeed in senior assignments such as Reserve Integration Officers, Reserve Liaison Officers, Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) Operational Sponsors, and other billets focused on Total Force integration.   4.  E-TFIST.  Dates: 11-13 May 2027.  E-TFIST is for AR staff noncommissioned officers (SNCOs).  RA will provide funding for travel to the course location.  Rental vehicles will be unit funded. 4.a.  The purpose of E-TFIST is to orient AR SNCOs to their roles and responsibilities to effectively serve as reserve integrators in support of the Total Force Marine Corps, in addition to being subject matter experts in their primary military occupational specialty. 5.  S-TFIST Symposium.  Dates: 24-26 August 2027.  Registration is open for all AR Colonels, AR Colonel-selects, AR Chief Warrant Officer-5s, and AR Master Gunnery Sergeants.  RA will provide funding for AR Colonels and Colonel-selects to attend the course. Additionally, RA will provide funding for one CWO5 or MGySgt from each Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Forces Reserve Staff, 4th Marine Division, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, 4th Marine Logistics Group, and Force Headquarters Group.  Rental vehicles will be unit funded.  Additional Marines can attend utilizing unit funding or virtually via Microsoft Teams. 5.a.  The purpose of this training symposium is to provide service- level updates on Total Force integration requirements, policies, and initiatives, as well as a forum for senior AR officers and enlisted to discuss program-level topics. 6.  Application Timelines 6.a.  AR officers requesting to attend FY27 Basic TFIST Session 1 must respond to POCs listed in this message with a request for registration NLT 1 September 2026. 6.b.  AR officers requesting to attend FY27 Basic TFIST Session 2 must respond to POCs listed in this message with a request for registration NLT 15 February 2027. 6.c.  AR officers requesting to attend FY27 A-TFIST must respond to POCs listed in this message with a request for registration NLT 1 April 2027. 6.d.  AR SNCOs requesting to attend FY27 E-TFIST must respond to POCs listed in this message with a request for registration NLT 1 April 2027. 6.e.  AR Colonels, AR Colonel-selects, AR Chief Warrant Officer 5s, and AR Master Gunnery Sergeants will be contacted via separate correspondence to attend the FY27 S-TFIST Symposium. 7.  The class sizes for Basic TFIST, A-TFIST, and E-TFIST are limited to 25 students per course.  Registration approvals will be prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis.  Should requests exceed the respective maximum class size, RA will prioritize attendance based upon respective AR officer or AR SNCO billet assignments. 8.  This MARADMIN is applicable to the AR program. 9.  Release authorized by Major General John F.
